3 tips to protect your hair from heat damage this summer:
🤍 rock your natural texture. if you’ve been heat styling for years, this can take some getting used to. you have to do your research and test different products that work best with your hair. i know it can be frustrating at first, but it is sooo worth it. once your hair gets used to drying on its own, without heat, it will thrive in its natural state!
🤍 STOP going to bed with wet hair. your hair is most fragile when it’s wet, so it’s more likely to break laying against your pillow all night. wash it in the morning and let it air dry. use braids or a diffuser to help style it. if you have to wash your hair at night, dry it 80% and then braid it.
🤍 bring your butterfly effect conditioner to a peach/pool day! the conditioner contains dimethicone, which creates a barrier on the hair, protecting it from environmental damage (aka humidity and uv rays).
