From working as a receptionist at a hair salon in college, to teaching 4th grade and going to beauty school at night, I always loved to teach and learn. After the last 3 years of working in a salon in Asbury Park, NJ and using an array of different lines, I gained a different perspective and admiration for not only style, but the method behind it. The end result- the cut or the color- is just one piece of the puzzle. After countless turns of my chair, I began to take mental note of clients’ feedback on the products we were using in the salon.  “I want stronger hold”, “I love the way my hair feels after that”, “I can’t find a product that gives me…” With this feedback, I turned to my brother, Brendan, who had his own skincare line and we started working hand in hand with his chemists.  

We’re not looking to reinvent the wheel, we’re taking the confusion out of hair care. There are so many products on the market, people don’t know what to reach for, or what product is going to give them the result they’re looking for. We’re creating quality products that people feel good about using, without having to break the bank to get them. We’re giving people confidence in their hair care routine. With my extensive knowledge of haircare, color, cut, and style, and Brendan’s knowledge of formulation, Hair by Clare was born.
